The series of streaming productions will kick off with several original works by former director of theater arts, Chris Bundy. His whimsical production of ‘Celtic Dreams’ will start the series, which also includes his original musical, ‘Burke and Haire’, as well as the sinister ‘EA Poe’, a journey through the mind of one of the world’s most mysterious poets. from America. Also on the program is a student production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by former students Will DeVary and Ben Thomas.

“We look forward to the chance to provide our community with great theater while rekindling old memories for many of our alumni,” FC manager Robbie Steiner said in a press release. “We are very pleased to begin this new series with the ‘Bundy Collection’ as well as one of Shakespeare’s most popular plays of all time.”

Steiner hopes that they will also be able to bring many other performances from the archives to virtual audiences. Currently, Music Theater International and other licensing agencies are in discussions with rights holders as to whether or not schools will be permitted to broadcast stock footage of copyrighted shows during this unique period. where theater everywhere is closed.

“We hope these rights will materialize as we would like to be able to share many of our past productions while everyone is stuck at home,” Steiner said. “We will keep our community updated and announce airings of other productions as the rights become available.”

Virtual audiences can now purchase e-tickets for shows airing in May. Only one ticket is needed per household per show and each performance will be available online for 24 hours for customers to view at their leisure. Each performance will be “hosted” by a former student or member of the show’s creative team. Bundy will host “Celtic Dreams,” the first show in the series, via video and share his memories of the production.
