Key City Theater Celebrates 30th Season With Dance, Drama, Music & Comedy – Cranbrook Daily Townsman

Key City Theater is celebrating its 30th season with a plethora of performances for small audiences in October and November.

There will be dancing, drama, Latin pop, roots, gypsy jazz, bluegrass, and comedy to choose from as Key City kicks off the fall season.

“This is just the start of our exciting 30th season at the Key City Theater and we will be announcing more shows as the season progresses,” Key City said in a statement, adding to stay tuned. for more details on their New Years Gala.

Key City will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination, as required by provincial health ordinances. All event attendees will need to show proof of vaccination in order to attend.

Ballet Jorgen – Creations in Isolation will kick off the season with two performances on October 3 (3 p.m. and 7 p.m.).

‘Joséphine’ – A burlesque cabaret dream piece will take place on October 13 at 7:30 p.m.

Smithers musician Alex Cuba will perform on October 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Barney Bentall will be back after half a decade, with the Wild Honey opening on October 20, 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m.

The Marc Atkinson Trio will follow on October 23 at 7:30 p.m.

John Reischman and the Jaybirds to play October 28 at 7:30 p.m.

All of the aforementioned events take place at the Royal Alexandra Hall.

Last but not least, ‘Straight Outta Lockdown’ – an evening of comedy – will take place on the Key City Theater Gallery stage on November 5 at 7:30 p.m. The comedy night will feature Lisa Baker and Mark McCue (18+).
